About me
I’m Alyssa.
I’m a Denver-based marketer with 13 years of experience elevating tech brands and their executives.
My career
SolarWinds: IT management software and SaaS | 2,500 employees | Publicly traded | B2B
I began my career in corporate communications and public relations, helping to build the Austin, Texas-based SolarWinds brand in government, education, and Latin American markets in particular. Later, following a spree of M&A activity, I was asked to help launch a cloud business unit for the software maker, combining the brands and teams of three startups.
The Zebra: Auto insurance comparison tool | 250 employees | Privately held | B2C
Following my SolarWinds experience, I sought the energy of “startup life,” and joined The Zebra to lead PR and content for the small team of 40. In four years there, I built robust communications and thought leadership content programs, led the brand through Series A and B funding rounds, and helped elevate the growing company into a top Austin employer. In 2021, The Zebra earned “unicorn” status.
Jungle Scout: Amazon sales/Ecommerce tech | 200 employees | Privately held | B2B (SMB & Enterprise)
Seeking my next challenge, I seized the opportunity to drive organic-led growth at Jungle Scout. Beginning with a content team of three, I ultimately scaled organic content and video, PR, social media, and all brand functions with a global team of 18. I also helped steer go-to-market strategy as the company acquired an enterprise solution and built a new enterprise business unit.
